i may be fortunate that while i'm in shanghai and choonhan is giving his best to make sure that the show will go on. but i also know that, i have missed the chance to do something with choonhan. it could be like rag.. a prolonged one. but maybe this time, i would have teared. but again, without giving my 100%, i can only feel the anxiety and imagine the feelings.. no tears from the eyes but it's watery in my heart. =)

week 2 - working week

going to church with fellow housemates. thank God for people who are eager to go together. yes. =) it's a way to keep in going on.

sheng jian bao!!!! it's super good. i have not eaten xiao long bao yet in shanghai but sheng jian bao is a must try!!! it's like it will squirt juice out literally.. delicious!!!
when i walk to work from the MRT, i will go early to queue for it as breakfast.

while pple may want to experience Chinese New Year in China, singapore is the place the PRC might go to for the festive mood! haha.. i think the advertisments tagline is damn up. xin xiang shi cheng. =)

my workstation. well.. at least i have a computer.. i will try to use it more often. cos i dun wnat to bring my laptop for work like the rest of them. ahha

the value of one dollar

one sing dollar can get me a drink.
one rmb means 20 cents.
dividing by 5 becomes a norm when i buy things in singapore
after realising that average china pple earns also about 2500, which is what i am earning, 1 dollar has raised its value to one sing dollar equivalent.

when my lunch is cheapest to be at 8 rmb
when my dinner can be as expensive at 25rmb when i eat at fusheng (aka coffeeshop zi cha)

i am still buying things at singapore value.. erm.. okay la.. must better liao la..

1 rmb is one chuan of mala tang
1 rmb is half of my breakfast cost
1 rmb is what i can give to the poor guy who begs in the 0 deg with thin clothes.
1 rmb is reallie 1 sing dollar considering i am earning 2500 rmb only.

how often do you actually get to meet hometown friends in the foreign land? maybe in this global day it's very easy and possible but to me, it's still quite interesting.. since we are both in Shanghai, i think it's only right to meet up right? so ya.. went out with her for dinner and take pictures at the bund. it's actually just like a singapore river, just that it's much bigger, with much more renaisance building? and with more lights, and much bigger river.. haha.. =)

oh ya. i tihnk my face has grown fatter.. !! haha..
but my face is peeling .. very worried. sigh.. hope it will be over soon.

farewell to general

beautiful scenery right? taken from the 40th floor of JW Mariot's hotel. what am i doing there? it's this farewell thing to the consolate general of Singapore in Shanghai. yes.. he's the biggest singaporean man in shanghai and we are there. there are many pple there as well, they went there to exchange namecards. networking, they call. very atas right? the function when we are in shirt tie and blazer, holding the wine glass in one hand and chit chat, then ends with cheers and drink. start with nice to meet you and handshake, and take out namecard. if next time anyone gives you namecard be glad. cos this function, they will save up their namecards cos there's so many pple there. when you want to save, you only give to pple you want them to know you.

and what am i doing there? i was at a point too tired of trying to stretch out my hand and receive cold shakes. took out my camera and played with the exposure to get this picture from the window.

after meeting my boss.. or so called my boss.. i walked pass this 上岛咖啡. and decide to visit. go in alone, got a table beside the window. took off my scarf gloves map. decide to order mocha in thought of laobeng. sipping coffee and reading the map. it's life. that's life.playing with digi cam.. with colours and macro.speaking softly to the waitress. cross my legs and lean back. look out at the streets. lovelywhen paying, they dun have small change, i say keep the change. high life.. (ok.. just 4RMB)i reallie like winter, if my skin doesnt peel. reallie. dress up. handsome.
